The Tale of Mrs. Fuddle-Dud

There was a 20-something chap called Vettickanakudy,
A dingy university apartment dweller and a bit moody.
He ate oodles of noodles,
Drew questionable doodles,
For a cruddy crap major chose he.

He drank gallons of tea,
Slurp slurp slurp went Vettickanakudy.
One day he sat feeling quite blue,
Under a lamp that cost just 2 smackaroos.
The tap leaked drippity drop,
The clock chimed tickety tock,
Just then Vettickanakudy thought,
He heard a hissy hiss no doubt.

Following the hissy hiss sound,
His eyes circled the room around.
And he spotted 6 legs in a hurry,
Crawling out of last night's putrid curry.
“Pudding and rotten curry, my what lovely treats,
I wish I had 6 hands instead of 6 feets."
Thus misspoke the owner of the hissy hiss,
Scurrying and scampering amid the messy mess.

“Why Mr. Creepy Roach,
That’s awful rude of you to encroach!”
Said Vettickanakudy now quite annoyed,
To find a Periplaneta Americana by his side.
Startled the roach lost its footing,
Down tumbled all the scrumptious pudding.
“Clearly you are the one to apologize,
Sorry Mrs. Fuddle-Dud would suffice.”

“Hey! You’ve been mooching off me since January end,
I saw you peeking and hiding under the cabinet bend.
If anything, you owe me apologies and monies,
For hogging my space and eating my macaronis.”
“It’s your own fault Mr. Vettickanakudy,
For leaving scrumptious snacks for a 6-legged foodie.
So now again I demand at once,
Say you are sorry for being a rude dunce.”

“Alright Mrs. Fuddle-Dud you make a good point,
I do have a habit of running a messy joint.
But before I go into a lengthy extenuation,
A teeny question precedes my self flagellation.”

Distracted by the big words Vettickanakudy used,
Mrs. Fuddle-Dud got a little confused.
“Can you tell me Mrs. Fuddle-Dud what’s the pixel size,
Of your peering dark globular black compound eyes?”
“Now that you ask, I must confess,
The compound eye resolution is a bit of a mess.”

“Well that explains why you did not see,
The red can of whoop ass lying just by me.”
Down came the mist, choking and all,
Vettickanakudy waited for the imminent fall.
Falling on her back with the slightest thud,
That was the end of Mrs. Fuddle-Dud.

A silly rhyme

I lay awake in my bed
Loud pounding in my head
Thirsty for a peaceful night
Bloodshot eyes shut awfully tight

T-rex happily jumping still
Thoughts of choking, slap and kill (it's the sleep deprivation)
My head hatches an evil plan
Could I bake him into a flan

Or a tranquilizer in his butt perhaps
Or a little brake failure mishap
Voices echoing in my head
T-rex for heaven's sakes go to bed!

Perverse

Want to extinguish the sun
Just for some selfish fun
Pluck away the stars for good
Just because it suits my mood

Forgot everything I learned
Something terrible I yearned
Betraying the beaten path
Baring unto a bitter wrath

Wasn't a choice I could make
Tried so hard to hesitate
Lately the way I see
Its all a skewed reality

The hell's bell will toll
As I quickly lose control
Willing to bet it all
I prepare for the fall

Ready to give up all I got
Without a concern or a doubt
A recluse from the humankind
Prisoner of a diseased mind

Whats this urge to self destruct
A penchant to not give a fuck
Hell bend to walk in reverse
Complying to my mind perverse

Defying everything that is real
To unearth what lies concealed
Maybe I failed to see
The angel I was meant to be

Orphaned by morality
Remorse a formality
Righteous Gods will frown
Disown me, put me down

Not welded by chastity
I submit to heresy
Brutal, deviant and ugly
The truth it sets me free

Full circle

Hunched in front of the PC
Or bleary eyed watching TV
Nuking dinners in the microwave
Over and over in a full circle

Downing shots of kamikazes
With a buzz to seduce reality
Waking up hung over life
Over and over in a full circle

Morning papers mourning martyrs still
Rapes and murders simply for a thrill
Heroes fighting for peace and justice
Over and over in a full circle

Affairs, divorces, sex tapes and all
Papparazzi then spew some gall
Stars they rise and they fall
Over and over in a full circle

Breathe in breathe out
Echo what is without
Duplicate, reconstruct, reproduce
Over and over in a full circle

Creation, nurture and destruction
A universe of replication
Listen to the pulsationg beat repeat
Over and over in a full circle

An ode to catdog

An orange ball of fur
Tip toes in the grass
Hunts with the passion
Of a big jungle cat

He thinks he is the king
of the ground he walks on
He looks like garfield
and acts like a dog

He walks me to school
and waits on me at dusk
He paws at the geckos
and then sniffs like a mutt

He is the best catdog
you will ever meet
But now he is lost
and wandering the streets

I hope he comes back home
I miss him a ton
Coz without the orange furball
its just not much fun

The way

Won't you share the toxicity
Inject a shot of pain into me

Smouldering steadily your mind chars
Trade open wounds for some benign scars

Your dark demons you defend
One woman war until the end?

I know they have been unkind
Got you locked up in a sick mind

Bury the remains of the cold shattered God
Gather every drop of resilience and move on

Bare unto the warm light the venom frozen within
Like snow melting and trickling on the first day of spring

A monsoon of tears to wash away the mirth
Wild colorful blossoms soon impending birth

Fertilize the coming day with the ashes of the past
You don't have forever, peace follows at last

Grasp on today, tomorrow may not be
Be the warrior you are, not a refugee

Reservation preservation

Living in a community
Enforcing equal opportunity
With the power of reservation
thought they started a revolution

Raking votes these politicians
Really became the morticians
Of a million dashed careers
A nation of blinded seers

Is this really a solution
Dissuading the resolution
Of the hard working mind
In the name of helping mankind

In his image

There she lay
Light bouncing off her
She glows as he casts a glance
Dusky brown dreams unfold

It was as nature meant it to be
She gives he takes
He yearns
She yields

He coerces
She succumbs
He wants to delve deep
She bares and he explores

He digs deeper
She lays still
Sweating bodies
Foundations build

From her womb
The future arose
In his image
The building stands still

Epilogue:
There is something about the construction zone that draws our minds to it. Nobody passes it unnoticed.
We see it grow from dirt to a spectacular structure of solidarity. Could it be the adulation of raising a child that we see in it? Or the awe of the metal giants, standing tall and hurling objects in the air. Do the cranes symbolize height and power?
It may be the earth’s womb being dug up and laid barren. It maybe the risk of a deep plunge the tiny man working on the eighteenth floor braves. It maybe the power man has over the cold steel mechanical giants that obey him at the push of a button. It maybe the primal appeal of labor, sweat and toil that the workers endure to fulfill this dream…..now united for a cause.
He came, he saw, he conquered. Then there arose formations of clay….in his image.

Bloodshed for life

Crouched in the fetal position
She endures bleeding pains
She bears the sacred curse
Of a womb that life ordains

Genesis

Born out of pain
Of my mother divine
Joy in her eyes
But tears in mine

My first emotion
Was a woeful cry
Birth of a mourner
Adorning a bloody dye

In a world of mourners
Life vibrant permeates
Mourning nonexistence
Such illusions I create

With you

My leg snakes around yours
And our bodies entwine
Like a cold drenched puppy
To your warmth I resign

Refuge I find
In a moment sublime
A glimpse of myself
Certain stillness of time

Building sand castles
With an ocean for a pool
Reminiscing our future
Away from the gruel

An explosion of color
Pink vermillion bright
Twilight sky blushes
As day melts into night

Blushing the twilight sky
Pulls a star studded veil
We return home again
Leaving a sandy trail

Empty spaces

Waking up again
To a morning grey
Shutting your eyes
Banishing the world away

You whined, you bitched
You rebelled for change
Then you gave up
And joined the charade

Stumbling home
After the masquerade
Filling empty spaces
With an ink of jade

Would it matter
If you stayed in bed
Would they miss you
While you play dead

The dreams you dreamt
Before you bailed
Salvaging your futility
By saving a whale

Hopeless eyes wondering
What went wrong
Embracing oblivion
Drifting along

Brain damage

In a million pieces my brain exploded
Defying laws of gravity I floated
Sick and tired of this disconnection
My face flooded in a vacant expression

This strange dichotomy I exhibit
At the surface I look quite placid
But underneath corrodes my mind
Crushed under the banal grind

Stop inflicting incessant brain damage
In your pompous alien language
On your perspective I don’t rely
I have my own to gratify

Chained, locked up or in a handcuff
The walls aren’t tall enough
Unperturbed by your mindless chide
I dream with my eyes open wide

The class prepares to be brainwashed
As the verbatim harangue is lashed
In a quiet corner with an attentive pretense
My mind takes a leave of absence

The dance of the bee, the scent of a rose

A bee dancing with splendor
Enchanting the rose to surrender
Dizzying fragrance, the bee drowns in
Settling on the velvet petal skin

Feeling the ecstasy of the red rose
The bee is now ever so close
Red rose blushing like a virgin
Dew drops like sweat on the velvet skin

Rose now swaying in a slow motion
Bee now drunk on the sweet potion
Nay can’t be nectar nor it be wine
Was there elixir that feels so fine?

Drunk, dizzy in a happy stupor the bee floats away
The rose opens its petals glowing lovelier today

The predator

Wrapped in silence
The forest looks still
Do not be fooled
Life lurks within

Everything that lives in it
Is a predator or a prey
Be the sly agile hunter
And you live another day

Eat or be eaten
The laws here say
Bloodshed isn’t uncommon
A small price to pay

Ravish the warm blood
Success has a sweet taste
No ethics or guilt here
It’s your survival at stake

So sharpen your senses
And live for the day
Have no regrets
Slay or be slayed.

Little blob blue

A blue blob
Wandering away
Billions thrive
Night and day

A vantage point
A paradise blue
A mesh of life
A home for you

Covered in miasma
Black and gray
Suffocating
Choking away

Hatred sprouts
War cries sound
Once a restful cradle
Now a burial ground

Garage sale in an emotional junkyard

It may look a little old and pale
Antique memoirs are on sale
A basketful of paper hearts
Riddled by stupid Cupid’s darts

A bottle of tears cried at night
Poisonous words full of spite
Promises made with ignorant haste
Letters smothered in emotional waste

A gaze colder than the North Pole
A broken heart and a tattered soul
Torn photos and broken frames
Vicious lies and cruel mind games

In the hope that I may need it someday
I saved the clutter that I clear today
Hogging space and gathering grime
It all needles my harrowed mind

Take it all and go away
Take all the feelings blue and gray
Scatter it to the wind on a mountain high
Make me lighter as I prepare to fly
