Update:
On Drunken Master's idea of collaborative effort how about 6 of us get together and each person writes a 16 word summary on one of the 6 Potter books. Any takers?

The entire story in 100 words ?
Will they take german jumbowords...I am sure with pagelong german words, you could get the approx story in.
Yeah I know! I couldn't do one HP book in 100 words...let alone the entire series.
Maybe we can collaborate...
Drunken master,
An intriguing offer but I must admit that the deadline is too close and my creative juices are running dry...maybe other Pottermaniacs that haunt this blog can come together and we could conjure up a collaborative entry. I offer my blog as the collaboration headquarters. Any takers?
One taker here!
Hmmm... intriguing offer. Will have to think about it.
Here's something that might help you: Compresso HPo!
Well... the 16 word thing was too difficult. I wrote the whole series in 100 words and submitted it to BBC. Here's my version:
Harry is a Wizard whose parents were killed by Volemort. Harry goes to Hogwarts and prevents Voldemort from stealing the philosopher's stone. Then Harry kills the Basilisk released by Voldemort's spirit. Then Harry meets Sirius, his Godfather and escaped convict accused killing his parents and proves him innocent. Then Harry participates in a tournament and meets Voldemort who returns to power. Then Harry has to fight Voldemort, and his followers, and also Ministry's interference in Hogwarts affairs. Sirius is killed. Harry finds Voldemort's soul is split and stored in seven Horcruxes which must be destroyed. Snape kills Dumbledore and escapes.
Good job Joy! It is a great summary. My only suggestion would be that try and avoid starting all the sentences with the same word ('then' in this case). But other than that you have teased out the main plot very well and the summary is very coherent and well written. Four gold stars to you Joy :0)
Oh thanku, thanku... Actually all those "Then"s were later put in to replace groups of words like "In his second year", "The next year" etc. :-)
